Lens Flare is the daughter of Blinding Light and Solar Tide. She's spunky and bright like her mother and has an eye for beauty like her father, but she lacks the patience to paint, so she took up photography. She mostly takes pictures of landscapes, though she also likes taking pictures of ponies. She even started Ponyville Primary School's first yearbook when she was there and she was the photographer for the newspaper as well.

Silver Frost is the daughter of Dovetail and Striker. She's known to be quite vain and even a little prissy at times. She's very good at pretty much everything she does and doesn't mind letting other ponies know it. When she was younger, she often had a hard time in the summer because her body doesn't regulate heat very well and so when it was very warm outside, she would become uncomfortably warm. As she grew up, the condition lessened slightly, but she still prefers colder climates. her talent is carving statues, usually in stone, but her preferred medium is ice. Cobalt once had a crush on her, but she had no interest in him and eventually shut him down quite firmly when she felt his affection for her went too far.

Alpine Melody is Key Lime's best friend from Ponyville and a fellow musician. Melody was the first to really get Kiki into music and singing as the two were almost inseparable while growing up, it was also her idea to form a band. She can play the guitar, piano, and violin, though singing is her passion. She alternates between lead singer and pianist in the band.

Silk Strings is the third member of Melody and Kiki's band as well as Kiki's friend in Canterlot. Because Argent Grace's modeling work took place almost exclusively in Canterlot, Kiki spent many of her summers in the capital. It was during this time that she met Silky and the two became close. Silky is an exceptional guitarist who also plays many other stringed instruments. Her parents wanted her to play in a classical group, but Silky never had a passion for classical music, preferring jazz, rock, and pop music. She plays guitar in the band as well as singing back-up vocals.

Sandy Shoals is the fourth and final member of Kiki's band. She's a couple years older than the rest and wasn't a close friend to the others before joining the band. She grew up in Ponyville with her mother and older sister after her parents divorced. She plays the drums in the band as well as sings back-up vocals.
