Ponysona Line Up

On the vein of drawing ponies, have the sonas of myself, Dan, and those around us.

From left to right- Deft Quill; Swift Sketch; Dry Line; Cobalt Crest; Damsel Flash; Highwind; Lateral Crux; Blitz; Doodlebug

Deft Quill is Dan's first sona who personifies most of his good traits- his writing, enthusiasm, and care-free attitude. Deft is a writer/ book store owner who grew up in Canterlot, but migrated to Ponyville to get away from city life.

Dry Line is Dan's second sona who personifies most of his bad traits- his anger, loner tendencies, and obsessive impulses. Dry is a meteorologist who obsesses over strange phenomena in the atmosphere, often to the detriment of his health.

Damsel Flash is Dan's third sona who is a good mix of his traits, but specifically is a representation of his feminine side. Damsel is outwardly very confident and in control, but inside she's much more insecure in herself. Born a Pegacorn (or winged Unicorn), not a true Alicorn as she is missing the vital Earth Pony portion, she grows insecure as ponies don't give her respect or friendship as she is rather different from everyone. Her talent is illusion magic and 'glamours'- changing your appearance via changing the way people perceive you. Using this magic, she usually hides her wings to appear as a tall unicorn (like Fleur). Swift Sketch is my second sona (technically Minty is my first, but since I drew her already, I didn't add her to this list). She was the first sona I set out to make and I poured most of myself into her. While Minty was used as a way to express myself when I was often unable to do so irl, Swift was a direct vision of who I see myself to be in an ideal world. She is an artist who went to college and who lives doing what she loves with who she loves. She's married to Deft and works with him in his bookstore in Ponyville.

Cobalt Crest is my third sona and is a personification of my more masculine side. He's rather shy and quiet tempered, a stark contrast to both my female sonas who are brash and outspoken (for the most part), but it's more accurate to who I really am. He moved around a lot when he was young, so he never really attached to anyone in particular except for his own ideas, though he lacks the drive to really do anything with them. He's a bit of a jack of all trades when it comes to work, though his talent is archery. Beyond that, he's very perceptive and often sees what people are trying to say, even if they can't articulate it very well.

Highwind is the sona of a friend of mine and Dan's and he's a jerk (Highwind, not our friend). He helps Dry Line with his meteorology work, sometimes. Usually he messes around and makes things harder for Dry, but the other pony doesn't want to ditch him because Highwind is probably the only pony who would give him the time of day, let alone stay around him. Highwind's talent is being able to fly at high speeds with high agility at high altitudes, making him perfect for much of Dry Line's work. But Highwind is a notorious mares' stallion and he'd rather spend his time impressing mares than working.

Lateral Crux loves video games, specifically puzzle games. Puzzles of all kinds, really. He's just entered the awkward teenage stage of his life, and so he is long and lanky. He also has the penchant for being sassy. He's the oldest of his two brothers.

Blitz is Crux's younger brother and while his brother loves video games and mental pursuits, Blitz likes hoofball. He's a fairly good player, though he plays more for the violence of the sport rather than for the fun of the game. He's quite competitive and he doesn't like to lose. He also can be a bully sometimes, usually picking on other kids at the behest of a girl or simply because it's fun.

Doodlebug is the youngest of the three brothers and he loves trains, planes, and heavy machinery. He dreams of owning his own company someday- a bakery delivery company where he makes his own deserts, a mass transport company, or even a construction company. He's not sure yet what exactly he wants to do, but with his whole life ahead of him, he has plenty of time to decide. He also likes to bake and spend time with his family.

The last three characters have work-in-progress names, so they may change. They are also based off of people I know, but because of their ages, relations and names are omitted.
